Day-to-Day Duties
As a PGT Biology Teacher at Narayana School Krishnagar, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing the Biology curriculum for Classes 11 and 12
- Conducting classes, preparing lesson plans, and assessing student progress
- Mentoring junior staff members, including Biology teachers and lecturers
- Collaborating with the School Management to improve board results in Biology
- Participating in departmental meetings and contributing to policy decisions
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance and progress
- Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to ensure student understanding
- Providing guidance and support to students, parents, and teachers
- Staying updated with the latest developments in Biology education and incorporating them into the curriculum
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A postgraduate degree in Biology or a related field (M.Sc or M.A.)
- A B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- NET or SET qualification is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
