Dr.b.r Ambedkar Siksha Niketan is looking for a PRT English Teacher to shape young minds in Hanskhali and surrounding villages of Nadia. Who You Will Teach
You will teach English to students in Grades 1 to 5, a critical stage where foundational language skills are built for life. Your role is to make English simple, enjoyable and relevant to their daily lives.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver daily English lessons using activity-based methods suitable for young learners in Hanskhali. Create simple stories, poems and role-plays that connect with village life and local culture. Prepare monthly lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and share progress with parents during informal meetings.
Organize morning assembly presentations where students recite poems or share short speeches to build confidence. Conduct reading corners in the classroom with graded books and local magazines to encourage independent reading habits. Assess students through oral tests, picture-based writing tasks and short quizzes rather than long written exams.
Prepare teaching aids using low-cost materials like flashcards, charts and real objects found in the village. Attend staff meetings to discuss student needs and suggest improvements for the English program. Support school events such as annual functions, sports day and cultural programs by guiding students in preparing English skits or dialogues.
Required Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed TET or CTET, though it is not mandatory.
