Core Duties
Teaching Social Science subjects to students in classes 6 to 8, ensuring alignment with the CBSE syllabus and state board guidelines. Developing interactive teaching strategies to enhance student participation, particularly in subjects like history and geography, which often require visual aids and field trips.
Creating and updating educational resources, including worksheets, project ideas, and digital content, to support classroom learning. Collaborating with the principal and department head to review teaching effectiveness and adapt strategies based on student feedback and performance trends.
Participating in school events, such as cultural fests and awareness campaigns, to promote social science themes in extracurricular activities. Assisting in organizing field visits, guest lectures, and workshops to bring real-world learning into the classroom, especially for topics like civic education and environmental studies.
Ensuring compliance with school policies on attendance, discipline, and assessment, while maintaining a supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Supporting the school’s mission to nurture responsible citizens by integrating values like civic duty and social responsibility into daily lessons.
Qualification and Experience
A B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role, with a postgraduate qualification in Social Science preferred. Experience in teaching Social Science subjects to students in the 6th to 8th grade is essential, with at least two years of relevant classroom experience. While TET/CTET certification is not strictly required, it is highly beneficial for career progression within Suba Public School.
Compensation and Location
