Your Students
As a TGT English Teacher, you will be working with students from diverse learning levels, including those with special needs. Our inclusive classroom setting in Nadia encourages learners to interact and engage with each other, fostering a sense of community and belonging. You will be responsible for catering to the needs of students with varying abilities, adapting your teaching strategies to ensure that every learner can access and engage with the curriculum.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lessons to students from diverse learning levels, including those with special needs
- Differentiate instruction to cater to the needs of students with varying abilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills
- Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning
- Provide individualized support to students who require extra help
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
- Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in English teaching
Required Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed in English or a related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching English to students of varying abilities
- Good knowledge of the English curriculum and pedagogy
Preferred Skills
- Experience in teaching English to students with special needs
- Familiarity with inclusive pedagogy and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school staff
- Patience, empathy, and a growth mindset
