Monitor student participation and address individual learning needs during class time. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space, including storage for educational materials and lab equipment.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans that incorporate current environmental issues, scientific research, and real-world applications. Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate Evs concepts into cross-curricular activities, such as science projects or field trips. Participate in school events like environmental fairs, tree-planting drives, and awareness campaigns to reinforce classroom learning. Assess student understanding through quizzes, projects, and practical evaluations, ensuring progress is tracked consistently.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend regular staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on teaching methods and curriculum changes in Evs. Prepare periodic reports on student performance, highlighting strengths and areas needing improvement. Organize occasional field trips or outdoor learning sessions to deepen students’ understanding of environmental science in practical settings.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a graduate degree in a relevant field or related subject. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with at least two years of teaching experience. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a teaching license is preferred. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for environmental education are essential.
Salary and Location
The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs.14,000 to Rs.25,000. The position is based in Kanska, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal, within the broader Durgapur region.
