Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced PGT Economics Teacher to join Narayana School, Andal in Ondal, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal. The successful candidate will teach Economics to students from Class 11 to Class 12 and be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the school's academic community.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver Economics lessons to students from Class 11 to Class 12.
2. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress.
3. Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning needs.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide academic programs.
6. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to school-wide decision-making processes.
7. Develop and implement innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning outcomes.
8. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes academic excellence.
9. Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Master's degree in Economics or a related field (M.A., M.Sc., M.Com).
- Post-graduate degree in Education (B.Ed, M.Ed).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in teaching Economics at the senior secondary level.
- Valid TET/CTET certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
Good to Have:
- Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
- Experience in coaching or mentoring students for competitive exams.
- Familiarity with online learning platforms and digital tools.
Preferred Skills
* Strong knowledge of Economics concepts and theory.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Familiarity with educational technology and software.
* Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Salary and Benefits
