You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining digital resources, such as online lessons and assessments, to support student learning.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Plan, deliver, and assess Geography lessons to students in grades 6-10
- Utilize technology, such as smart boards and LMS, to create engaging and interactive lessons
- Create and maintain digital resources, such as online lessons and assessments
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver interdisciplinary projects
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress
- Communicate with parents and students through regular progress reports and parent-teacher conferences
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops to stay updated on best practices in Geography education
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Post-graduate degree in Geography or related field
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong knowledge of Geography curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
