Core responsibilities
- Deliver engaging PGT level Sociology classes for classes IX to XII.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessments that reflect current sociological debates.
- Conduct regular formative and summative evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Organise field trips, seminars and guest lectures to enrich classroom learning.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and student progress.
- Guide students in research projects, model United Nations and social service initiatives.
- Participate in school meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and staff development workshops.
- Contribute to the school’s annual academic calendar and co‑curricular events.
- Uphold the values and discipline standards of Magnus Global School.
What you bring to the table
- Post‑graduate degree in Sociology with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum three years of teaching experience at the PGT level.
- Strong command of the West Bengal curriculum and familiarity with TET/CTET preferences.
- Proven ability to foster critical thinking and analytical skills among adolescents.
- Excellent communication in English and Bengali, and a passion for student development.
