Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled TGT Geography Teacher to join Narayana School Raghunathpur in Purulia, West Bengal. The successful candidate will teach Geography to students at the secondary level, creating an engaging learning environment and promoting academic excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a keen understanding of Geography.

Day-to-Day Duties

1. Plan and deliver lessons in Geography to students at the secondary level, adhering to the curriculum and ensuring effective learning outcomes.
2. Prepare and distribute course materials, such as worksheets, assignments, and project guides, to support student learning.
3. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their understanding of Geography concepts.
4. Develop and implement engaging teaching methods, such as group discussions, presentations, and hands-on activities, to promote active learning.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver integrated lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
6. Maintain accurate student records and progress reports, as required by school administration.
7. Participate in staff meetings and professional development programs to stay updated on teaching methodologies and curriculum changes.
8. Attend Parent-Teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address parent concerns.
9. Perform other related duties as assigned by school administration.

Who Can Apply

Must Have:

- Post-graduate degree in Geography (M.A./M.Sc.) or a related subject
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree in Education
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Strong understanding of Geography curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good to Have:

- CTET/TET certification (not mandatory)
- Experience teaching Geography to students at the secondary level
- Familiarity with digital learning platforms and educational technology
- Strong organizational and time management skills
