PGT Computer Science Teacher Job in Jammu, Jammu And Kashmir
Role Summary
Seeking a high-energy PGT Computer Science Teacher to join our team at Jammu's premier school, Kashmir Valley Academy, in Jammu And Kashmir. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for teaching Computer Science and the ability to engage students of all skill levels. A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience required.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Teach Computer Science to students of classes 9-12 as per State Board of Jammu And Kashmir curriculum.
2. Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to varying learning styles.
3. Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student progress.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects.
6. Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
7. Conduct remedial classes for struggling students.
8. Provide guidance to students on career choices and higher education options.
9. Participate in parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents regarding student progress.
Required Qualifications
Must Have:
- Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field (M.Sc., MCA, etc.)
- B.Ed. or M.Ed. from a recognized university
- Valid CTET or TET certification not required but preferred
- 5 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at the PGT level
Good to Have:
- NET or SET certification in Computer Science
- MBA or M.A. in Education
- Experience with project-based learning and flipped classrooms
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C++
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and graphic design principles
