The teacher will also guide students in research projects and model-making related to medieval and modern Indian history.
What You Will Do
Plan and deliver thematic units covering ancient, medieval, and modern periods with primary and secondary sources.
Design formative assessments and end-term papers aligned with State Board standards.
Organize field visits to heritage sites around Jammu, Jammu And Kashmir to contextualize textbook content.
Integrate digital tools such as timelines and interactive maps into lessons.
Mentor students for inter-school quiz competitions on Indian history.
Collaborate with the Social Science department to align History with Political Science and Geography strands.
Maintain a resource corner with maps, artifacts, and student project displays.
Conduct remedial sessions for students weak in chronology or source interpretation.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in History with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
B.Ed or M.Ed from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Two years of documented teaching experience in Classes 11–12 under State Board or CBSE.
Familiarity with State Board of Jammu And Kashmir History syllabus for senior secondary.
Ability to create lesson plans in Hindi, English, and Urdu as per school language policy.
