Monitor student participation and provide timely feedback to encourage critical analysis. Maintain a structured classroom environment while addressing diverse learning needs.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabi to reflect contemporary philosophical debates and student interests. Collaborate with the academic team to integrate Philosophy into interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities. Assess student progress through written assignments, discussions, and projects, ensuring fair and meaningful evaluations. Participate in departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and teaching strategies.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend parent-teacher interactions to discuss student performance and philosophical growth. Organize guest lectures or workshops with local philosophers or scholars to enrich student learning. Contribute to school events, such as debates or philosophy clubs, to promote engagement beyond the classroom.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Philosophy or a related discipline. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with at least two years of teaching experience. A Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs.35,000 to Rs.60,000. This role is based in Ranbir Singh Pora, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, providing a dynamic and culturally rich environment for teaching and professional growth.
