Responsibilities
Teach Political Science at the senior secondary level, ensuring alignment with the latest CBSE curriculum. Develop engaging lesson plans that integrate regional context, historical events, and current affairs relevant to Jammu and Kashmir. Conduct interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical assignments to foster critical thinking among students.
Prepare and evaluate unit-wise assessments, including projects and exams, while maintaining transparency and fairness. Collaborate with the department head to refine teaching methodologies and curriculum improvements. Stay updated on political developments in India and Jammu, sharing insights in classroom discussions.
Engage with parents through parent-teacher meetings, discussing student progress and policy-related discussions. Organize guest lectures or workshops with local scholars, activists, or policymakers to enrich student learning. Maintain a disciplined and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect for diverse political viewpoints.
Qualifications
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Political Science or a related discipline. Possess a valid TET/CTET certificate as a preferred requirement. Strong command over English and regional languages (Kashmiri/Hindi) is advantageous for effective communication.
Experience
Minimum of four years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably in a reputed school or educational institution. Experience in shaping student perspectives on political ideologies, governance, and regional autonomy will be highly valued.
