Role Overview
The PGT Biology Teacher will join Brilliant Minds Innovative School in Zainapora, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir. This full‑time position involves delivering the Biology curriculum to senior secondary students and fostering a scientific mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Biology lessons in accordance with the school syllabus and state guidelines.
Assess student performance through tests, assignments and practical work, providing constructive feedback.
Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
Mentor students in project work, Olympiads and extracurricular science activities.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades and progress reports.
Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and participate in staff meetings and professional development programs.
Contribute to school events, parent‑teacher interactions and community outreach related to science education.
Qualifications and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Biology or a related science discipline.
B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory.
Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the PGT level.
Preference given to candidates who have cleared TET/CTET, though it is not compulsory.
Strong communication skills in English and the regional language, with the ability to inspire young learners.
Compensation and Application Details
Salary: Rs.35,000 - Rs.70,000 per month.
Location: Zainapora, Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir.
