Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for senior secondary-level Zoology, ensuring alignment with the latest curriculum standards. Conduct practical sessions in laboratories, including dissections and field studies, to enhance hands-on learning experiences. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including projects, experiments, and exams, while maintaining transparency in grading. Collaborate with science department heads to coordinate interdisciplinary projects and extracurricular activities like science fairs. Mentor students in research-based assignments, encouraging them to explore topics like biodiversity and ecosystem studies. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, digital materials, and lab equipment, to support effective instruction.
Applicants must hold a postgraduate degree in Zoology or a related field with at least three years of teaching experience in schools. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory, along with a valid TET/CTET certificate preferred.
