PRT Urdu Teacher Position at Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute
This role is for a Primary Teacher (PRT) specializing in Urdu teaching at Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute in Srinagar North. You will be responsible for delivering foundational Urdu language instruction to students in the primary grades, ensuring cultural relevance and linguistic development in line with local curriculum standards.
Your daily tasks will include planning and conducting classroom lessons, teaching grammar, vocabulary, and basic literature, while also adapting teaching methods to engage young learners. You’ll also assist in lesson preparation, student assessment, and maintaining a supportive learning environment that reflects the rich literary and linguistic traditions of the region.
To qualify, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and possess either a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. A graduate degree in Urdu or a related humanities subject is preferred. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be an added advantage.
For this position, two years of teaching experience, preferably in Urdu or a similar language, is essential. Experience in working with diverse student backgrounds and incorporating cultural context into language instruction would be beneficial.
