Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Sanskrit lessons for Classes IX and X, aligning with the CBSE syllabus and school calendar.
Prepare and evaluate class tests, term exams and project work focused on Sanskrit literature, grammar and composition.
Organize Sanskrit recitation and cultural activities such as Vedic chant sessions and Sanskrit debate clubs to enrich student exposure.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and performance in Sanskrit, and provide timely feedback to parents and senior staff.
Collaborate with the language department to integrate Sanskrit into interdisciplinary projects, ensuring relevance to local heritage and school events.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops and school functions, representing the Sanskrit teaching community.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Sanskrit (M.A. Sanskrit or equivalent) with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed.
TET/CTET qualification preferred.
Clear understanding of modern pedagogical methods for teaching Sanskrit in a school setting.
Desired Attributes
Strong command over spoken and written Sanskrit, with the ability to inspire interest among adolescents.
Familiarity with the cultural context of Jammu and Kashmir, enabling connection of Sanskrit texts to local traditions.
Good communication skills, teamwork orientation and willingness to contribute to school‑wide initiatives.
