PGT Economics Teacher Job in Dhanbad, Jharkhand | School Recruitment
Job Title
PGT Economics Teacher – Full‑time position at Dhanbad Public School, Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
Responsibilities
1. Design and deliver engaging Economics lessons for Classes XI and XII as per the CBSE syllabus.
2. Conduct regular assessments, evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback to students.
3. Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids and worksheets that relate economic concepts to local contexts such as coal mining and industry in Dhanbad.
4. Organize co‑curricular activities like debates, model United Nations and economic surveys to enhance practical understanding.
5. Mentor students for competitive exams and guide them in project work and research papers.
6. Participate in staff meetings, parent‑teacher interactions and school development programmes.
7. Maintain classroom discipline and create an inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.
8. Update records, attendance and progress reports in the school’s management system.
Requirements
- Post‑graduate degree in Economics (M.A./M.Sc.) with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a recognized school setting.
- TET/CTET qualification preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi, with ability to relate economic theory to everyday life in Jharkhand.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and assessment.
Salary
Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
Location
Dhanbad, Jharkhand – the role is based at Dhanbad Public School, situated in the heart of the city with easy access to public transport.
Experience
At least two years of experience handling senior secondary Economics classes, preferably in CBSE or similar boards.
