Job Description
Sabitri Academy in Dhanbad is seeking a dedicated PRT (Pupil Teacher) to teach Environmental Studies (EVS) to students in the school. This role involves designing engaging lesson plans, fostering environmental awareness, and ensuring curriculum alignment with school standards. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support student learning in hands-on and theoretical aspects of EVS.
The job requires a graduate degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience, though formal qualifications like B.Ed or D.El.Ed are preferred. Experience in EVS or environmental education will be an asset. The role is full-time, offering a competitive salary of Rs.12,000 to Rs.25,000 per month.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching EVS classes, including practical projects, field trips, and classroom discussions on environmental science. Developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum while encouraging critical thinking and sustainability.
Assisting in extracurricular activities related to environmental awareness, such as cleanliness drives, tree-planting initiatives, and awareness campaigns. Collaborating with other teachers to create a holistic learning environment that promotes environmental responsibility.
Qualifications and Skills
A graduate degree in any discipline is mandatory. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is highly recommended for this position. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having these certifications will be an advantage. Strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for environmental education are essential.
