Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for classes XI and XII, aligning with the school curriculum and state guidelines.
- Organize and supervise sports activities, inter‑school competitions and annual sports day, ensuring safety and fair play.
- Assess student performance through practical exams, fitness tests and project work, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Coach students for district and state level events, providing individualized training plans where needed.
- Maintain sports equipment, manage inventory and ensure the proper upkeep of the school’s playgrounds and gymnasium.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate health and wellness topics across the curriculum.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development programmes and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Physical Education or related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably at the senior secondary level.
- TET/CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Indian sports rules, fitness assessment methods and ability to motivate adolescents.
Salary, Location & Application
- Salary: Rs.16,000 – Rs.25,000 per month.
- Location: Dhanbad, Jharkhand.
