ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate TGT English Teacher to join our middle school faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a deep appreciation for the English language and literature among students in Grades 6 through 10. This role requires a professional who can deliver engaging lessons, improve linguistic proficiency, and contribute to the overall academic and personal development of our students. As a Post Graduate professional with at least 2 years of experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the communication skills of the next generation.

PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
2. Conduct daily classroom sessions focusing on grammar, composition, and English literature.
3. Assess and grade student assignments, essays, and examinations timely to provide constructive feedback.
4. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic progress, and behavioral development.
5. Organize and lead literary activities such as debates, declamation contests, and creative writing workshops.
6. Utilize digital teaching aids and smart boards to enhance the learning experience.
7. Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and identify areas for improvement.
8. Participate in departmental meetings to contribute to curriculum planning and school-wide academic strategies.
9. Supervise students during morning assemblies, breaks, and school events to ensure a safe learning environment.
10. Mentor students for inter-school English competitions and public speaking engagements.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES
The ideal candidate must possess a Post Graduate degree in English Literature or a related field. While a TET qualification is not mandatory for this role, we require a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a recognized school. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate mastery over English grammar and a profound understanding of classical and contemporary literature. Proficiency in using educational technology and a patient, student-centric approach to classroom management are highly valued.
