Role Summary

The PRT Science Teacher will handle classes from Grades 1 to 5 at Rps Public School, Hussainabad.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver Science lessons for Grades 1–5 as per the school curriculum.
2. Prepare low-cost teaching aids using locally available materials.
3. Conduct monthly practical demonstrations aligned with the syllabus.
4. Maintain classroom discipline and ensure safety during science activities.
5. Evaluate student progress through monthly tests and anecdotal records.
6. Organize science fairs or exhibitions once per term.
7. Assist in morning assembly with science-related talks or news.
8. Support co-curricular activities like nature walks and science clubs.
9. Keep attendance records and submit reports to the coordinator on time.

Eligibility Criteria

Must Have

Graduation in Science or B.Sc. with Physics, Chemistry, Biology as main subjects.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).
Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Science to primary classes.
Fluency in Hindi and basic English for classroom communication.
Willingness to stay in Hussainabad and travel to nearby villages for school events.

Good to Have

CTET or TET qualified candidates will be preferred.
Experience in government or government-aided schools in Jharkhand.
Knowledge of local tribal culture and its connection to science concepts.
Trained in child psychology or Montessori methods.
Active participation in previous science exhibitions or Olympiads.
