Green Valley International School in Medininagar invites applications for the role of TGT Social Science Teacher to join the dynamic team in Manatu, Palamu. This is a full-time teaching position offering a monthly salary of Rs.17,000 to Rs.35,000. The successful candidate will engage with students across various social science subjects, fostering critical thinking and a deeper understanding of history, geography, economics, and political science.
Daily Responsibilities
Teach core Social Science subjects to students in Class 9 and 10, ensuring engaging and interactive lessons. Prepare daily lesson plans aligned with the curriculum while adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning abilities. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide timely feedback to help them excel. Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and respect among peers.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement integrated social science projects that bridge subjects like history and geography. Participate in school-wide discussions on curriculum updates and pedagogical strategies to improve teaching effectiveness. Assist in organizing field trips and guest lectures to bring real-world context to Social Science lessons. Contribute to the school’s extracurricular activities, such as debate clubs or model rallies, where social science themes are relevant.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and review annual lesson plans and assessment schedules to ensure consistency with school policies. Attend training sessions or workshops focused on modern teaching techniques in Social Science education. Contribute to the school’s annual report by documenting student achievements, classroom observations, and areas for improvement in the subject.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Social Science or a related discipline. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with at least two years of teaching experience. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly valued. Strong communication skills in both Hindi and English are essential, along with a passion for shaping young minds through Social Science education.
