Role Summary
Cambridge Institute Of Technology, a premier University in Jharkhand, invites applications for the position of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - Operating Systems Vacancy in Jharkhand. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Operating Systems.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Operating Systems, including theory and practical sessions.
- Conduct tutorial sessions for students in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Cambridge Institute Of Technology.
- Guide students in their academic projects and provide research guidance in the field of Operating Systems.
- Develop and implement new course materials and syllabi for Operating Systems courses.
- Participate in academic and administrative activities of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
- Conduct seminars, workshops, and conferences on topics related to Operating Systems.
- Maintain and update the Department's library and laboratory resources.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary courses and research projects.
Master Level Teaching
- Teach master level courses in Operating Systems, including advanced topics and recent developments in the field.
- Guide students in their research projects and provide research guidance in the field of Operating Systems.
- Develop and implement new course materials and syllabi for master level Operating Systems courses.
- Supervise the preparation of thesis and project reports by master level students.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible to apply. Those who have completed NET or SLET are also eligible. Additionally, candidates with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals in the field of Operating Systems are preferred.

To be eligible for promotion to the post of Associate Professor, the candidate will need to achieve an API score of 3.5 or more.
