Role Summary
We seek an experienced educator to fill the ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Vacancy in Jharkhand at Cambridge Institute Of Technology, a leading University in Rahe, Ranchi. The selected candidate will teach Algorithms at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and contribute to the academic growth of the institution.
Day-to-Day Duties
As ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Algorithms in Ranchi, the incumbent will be responsible for:
- Teaching Algorithms to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Developing and updating curriculum for Algorithms courses.
- Conducting tutorials and practical sessions for students.
- Assessing and grading student performance.
- Maintaining records and reports as required by the University.
- Participating in departmental and University-level committees.
- Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching and research.
Postgraduate Students
The ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR Algorithms will guide master-level students in their research projects and courses related to Algorithms. The incumbent will:
- Guide students in their research work and projects.
- Develop and deliver courses for master-level students.
- Assess and grade student performance in these courses.
- Provide feedback and guidance to students.
Required Qualifications
A Ph.D. with a minimum of 55% marks is mandatory for the ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR position. NET/SLET qualifications are also essential for Assistant Professors who do not hold a Ph.D. The selected candidate should have publications in peer-reviewed journals related to Algorithms.
Learning and Development
The University follows UGC norms for academic promotion and career advancement. The ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR will be required to achieve a minimum API score of 3.0 to be eligible for promotion to the post of Professor. The incumbent will also be expected to pursue ongoing learning and development to enhance teaching and research skills.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary of Rs.45,000 - Rs.60,000, along with allowances as per UGC norms. The University offers a supportive and stimulating environment for teaching and research.
