Day-to-Day Duties
Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Machine Design, preparing students for industry and research roles. Conduct and supervise research in areas such as CAD/CAM, finite element analysis, robotics integration, and product design optimization. Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Collaborate with local industries in Ranchi and Jamshedpur for consultancy and sponsored projects.
Day-to-day administrative responsibilities include serving on departmental committees, coordinating academic events, and mentoring student clubs like the SAE India collegiate chapter. Assist in organizing national conferences and workshops on emerging trends in machine design and mechanical engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a PhD in Machine Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant specialization from a UGC-recognized university. Those with a Master’s degree and at least 5 years of teaching/research experience may also apply if they meet UGC norms for Associate Professor positions.
Industry exposure in design, manufacturing, or R&D is highly desirable. Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, ANSYS, or CATIA is essential. Candidates with prior experience in guiding sponsored projects or securing research grants will be given preference.
