Sarala Birla Public School in Rahe, Ranchi, invites a dedicated PGT Business Studies Teacher to join its dynamic academic team. This role is ideal for an experienced educator passionate about shaping future business leaders through engaging classroom instruction and innovative teaching methods. The teacher will report directly to the School’s Academic Head, ensuring seamless integration into the existing curriculum framework. The role emphasizes hands-on teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring junior faculty to maintain academic excellence.
Core Duties
Teaching Business Studies at the senior secondary level, covering core subjects like accounting, economics, and entrepreneurship. Designing and implementing interactive lesson plans that blend theoretical concepts with real-world applications, using local case studies relevant to Jharkhand’s business landscape. Assisting in organizing school events such as business fairs, guest lectures by industry experts, and workshops with corporate partners to bridge the gap between education and employment.
Facilitating extracurricular activities like debates, mock business competitions, and internship placements to prepare students for higher education and professional careers. Collaborating with the School’s co-curricular coordinators to ensure Business Studies aligns with broader academic and extracurricular goals. Maintaining updated teaching resources, including textbooks, digital learning tools, and industry-specific materials to support diverse learning needs.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Business Studies, Commerce, or a related discipline is mandatory. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is essential for teaching at this level. At least two years of teaching experience in Business Studies at the senior secondary or equivalent level is required. Familiarity with the CBSE or state board curriculum for Business Studies is preferred. A TET/CTET certificate is advantageous but not mandatory.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, along with benefits such as allowances for travel and professional development.
