About This Role
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced PGT English Teacher to join our faculty at D.a.v. Alok Public School. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students in grades 9-12, developing engaging lesson plans, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and linguistics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to students in grades 9-12, following the CBSE curriculum
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to improve learning outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
- Participate in school-wide professional development programs to enhance teaching skills
- Contribute to extracurricular activities and events that promote English language and literature
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in English or a related field and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a school setting is required, with a strong background in English literature and linguistics. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
