Job Title
PGT History Teacher – Full‑time (Rahe, Ranchi)
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging History lessons for classes IX to XII, aligning with CBSE and state syllabus. Conduct regular assessments, provide feedback, and maintain records of student progress. Organise heritage trips and cultural activities that relate to Indian and World history, especially those relevant to Jharkhand’s rich past.
Curriculum Development
Prepare teaching aids, PowerPoint presentations and project work that bring historical events to life. Update lesson plans with recent research and integrate technology where feasible. Collaborate with senior faculty to ensure interdisciplinary links with Geography and Political Science.
Student Mentoring
Guide students for History Olympiads and inter‑school competitions, offering extra coaching after school hours. Encourage critical thinking through debates, model UN sessions and heritage walks in Rahe and surrounding areas.
Administrative Duties
Maintain attendance, grade books and timely submission of reports to the school office. Participate in staff meetings, parent‑teacher conferences and school events organized by Sarala Birla Public School.
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience at the PGT level in a recognized school. Prior involvement in History Teacher Recruitment in Jharkhand or similar initiatives is advantageous.
Qualification
Post‑graduate degree in History with B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification. TET/CTET qualification preferred. Candidates must possess a clear background check and be comfortable teaching in a co‑educational environment.
Salary
Rs.40,000 - Rs.70,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
