Role Summary
Cambridge Institute Of Technology, a renowned University in Rahe, Ranchi, Jharkhand invites applications for the post of PROFESSOR in Geotechnical Engineering. The chosen candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Geotechnical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate courses such as Soil Mechanics, Foundation Engineering, and Geotechnical Laboratory to students of Civil Engineering.
Develop and maintain course materials, including lecture notes, assignments, and lab manuals.
Conduct research in areas of Geotechnical Engineering and publish papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Supervise and guide postgraduate students in their thesis work.
Conduct and evaluate lab experiments in Geotechnical Engineering.
Develop and maintain a high-quality, research-oriented Geotechnical Engineering laboratory.
Collaborate with faculty members from other departments in interdisciplinary research projects.
Participate in curriculum planning and development in the Department of Civil Engineering.
Master Level Teaching
Teach postgraduate courses such as Advanced Geotechnical Engineering, Rock Mechanics, and Geotechnical Design to students of Civil Engineering.
Develop and guide research projects on Geotechnical Engineering topics.
Publish research papers in reputable international and national journals.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks.
UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET or SLET in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
Good academic record with a strong background in Geotechnical Engineering.
Experience in teaching and research in a University or College setting.
Publications in peer-reviewed journals are essential.
Career Opportunities
Candidates with a strong research background and teaching experience can look forward to career advancement opportunities as Associate Professor or Professor.
API score of 3.5 and above will be considered for promotion to higher positions.
