PRT Position for Environmental Studies Teacher at Gd Goenka School in Namkum, Ranchi

Key Responsibilities
Teach Environmental Studies to students in Classes I to V, ensuring engaging lessons on sustainability, conservation, and local ecology. Develop interactive classroom activities, field trips, and project-based learning to deepen understanding. Collaborate with the science department to integrate EVS themes across subjects where relevant. Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in school-based assessments. Participate in school events promoting environmental awareness, such as tree-planting drives or waste management campaigns.
Qualifications Required
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline as the minimum educational qualification. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) to qualify for the PRT role. Successful completion of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET/CTET) is highly preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Experience and Skills
Minimum two years of teaching experience at the primary level is essential. Experience in EVS or science education is a strong asset. Strong communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and adaptability to diverse student learning needs are key. Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital platforms will be beneficial.
Compensation and Terms
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.16,000 to Rs.28,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with benefits including a professional development stipend for workshops and training.
