PRT Music Teacher Position at Gd Goenka School in Namkum, Ranchi

Daily Responsibilities
Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, and basic instruments, to students in the primary section. Conduct daily music classes, ensuring engaging and age-appropriate activities. Prepare and deliver lesson plans aligned with school curriculum standards. Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment to encourage participation and confidence.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Coordinate with music faculty to integrate music lessons into broader school activities, such as festivals and cultural events. Assist in organizing school music programs, including concerts and recitals, to showcase student talent. Collaborate with other teachers to ensure smooth implementation of music-related projects and assessments. Participate in school-wide initiatives that promote arts and cultural development.
Periodic Responsibilities
Plan and conduct termly music workshops or skill-building sessions for students. Review and update teaching materials to reflect new curriculum guidelines and student needs. Represent the school at local music competitions or events, if applicable, to enhance the school’s cultural profile.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a graduate degree with a minimum of two years of teaching experience. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized institution. A valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of music theory, instruments, and educational best practices is essential.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.16,000 to Rs.28,000. The position is based in Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand, within Gd Goenka School’s campus environment.
