What You Will Do
Develop and implement the annual tennis training calendar for Lady K C Roy Memorial School, aligning practice schedules with inter-school tournaments across Jharkhand. Coordinate with the Sports Coordinator to allocate courts, equipment, and time slots efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to academics. Oversee the maintenance of tennis courts and ensure all safety protocols are followed during practice sessions.
Identify promising players through trials and talent hunts, maintaining detailed records of performance metrics and improvement plans for each student. Organize regular inter-house and inter-school tennis competitions to foster competitive spirit and teamwork among students. Liaise with visiting coaches and referees during tournaments to uphold the school’s reputation in sports.
Train and supervise assistant coaches and volunteers, conducting periodic skill assessments and providing constructive feedback to enhance their coaching techniques. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s progress, attendance, and upcoming tournaments through newsletters and parent-teacher meetings. Represent Lady K C Roy Memorial School at regional sports forums to strengthen ties with other institutions in Ranchi.
Eligibility
Graduation in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field is required, with a preference for postgraduate qualifications. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tennis coaching, preferably in a school or academy setting in Ranchi or Jharkhand. Prior experience in managing sports programs, staff, and budgets will be advantageous.
