Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Kannada language and literature at the secondary level.
2. Conduct interactive classes, including grammar, composition, and regional literature, aligning with CBSE/Karnataka curriculum standards.
3. Assess students through continuous evaluation, including oral presentations, writing tasks, and project-based learning.
4. Collaborate with the Kannada department to design extracurricular activities like cultural fests, poetry slams, and literary competitions.
5. Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with school policies on attendance and discipline.
6. Prepare and update teaching resources, such as worksheets, storybooks, and multimedia presentations tailored to student needs.
7. Participate in departmental meetings and teacher training sessions to enhance pedagogical practices.
8. Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and linguistic fluency in Kannada.
A qualified PGT Kannada Teacher must hold a postgraduate degree in Kannada or related literature, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Experience in teaching Kannada to students aged 14-18 is essential, with at least two years of relevant classroom experience preferred. A TET/CTET certificate is highly advantageous but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, cultural awareness, and adaptability to diverse student backgrounds are key.
