Responsibilities
Plan and deliver advanced sociology lessons aligned with Karnataka’s curriculum, ensuring students grasp complex social theories and research methods. Develop interactive teaching strategies that blend theory with real-world applications, such as urbanization trends or social movements, to enhance critical thinking. Collaborate with the sociology department to design projects, workshops, and field studies that encourage students to explore societal structures and inequalities. Maintain detailed lesson plans, assessment frameworks, and student progress records to support academic growth. Participate in school-wide initiatives like parent-teacher meetings and cultural events, fostering a holistic learning environment.
Qualification
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Sociology or a related field. Experience in teaching sociology at the secondary or senior secondary level is highly valued. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Experience
Prove at least two years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably in sociology or a social sciences stream. Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE/State Board syllabi is beneficial. Experience in motivating students through diverse teaching methods is a plus.
Salary and Employment Type
The successful candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.38,000 to Rs.60,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with Global City International School, committed to fostering excellence in education.
