About This Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic PRT English Teacher to join our team at New Carmel School. As a seasoned educator, you will be responsible for creating engaging and interactive learning experiences for students in the primary grades (1st to 5th). Your expertise in English language and literature will be instrumental in shaping the language skills and literary appreciation of our students.
What You Will Do
- Plan and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students
- Develop and implement engaging English language and literature curricula
- Conduct regular assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and student engagement
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and address concerns
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of English language and literature programs for students with special needs
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to engage with students and promote a sense of community
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
- CTET or TET certification is not required for this role
- 3 years of experience as a PRT English Teacher
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature curricula for primary grades
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
