Job Description
Responsibilities
Teach History to students in Classes 9 to 12 at Carmel Academy ICSE School in Bengaluru Urban. Prepare engaging lesson plans that align with the ICSE curriculum while incorporating modern teaching methods. Deliver structured and interactive classes, ensuring students grasp key historical concepts, events, and timelines effectively.
Design and conduct assessments to evaluate students’ understanding of historical periods, sources, and analytical skills. Use age-appropriate materials, visual aids, and discussions to make history relatable and stimulating. Maintain clear and organized records of student progress and attendance.
Collaborate with the history department to refine teaching strategies and share best practices. Attend departmental meetings and participate in professional development workshops relevant to history education. Ensure all teaching materials, textbooks, and resources are up-to-date and accessible for students.
Eligibility
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline. Possess a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) as per Indian educational standards. Have at least four years of teaching experience in History or a relevant subject. Ensure valid TET/CTET certification is obtained if required by the school’s guidelines.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position offering a monthly salary of Rs.25,000 to Rs.40,000. The role is based at Carmel Academy ICSE School in Bengaluru Urban, Karnataka. The position is open to qualified candidates with the right passion for shaping young minds in history.
