Typical Working Week
A typical week involves preparing lesson plans, delivering interactive classes, and conducting formative assessments. Teachers review student progress, provide feedback, and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Collaboration with peers on curriculum design and resource sharing is a regular part of the schedule.
Recurring Responsibilities
- Deliver daily English lessons for classes 6 to 8.
- Prepare and grade assignments, quizzes, and class tests.
- Maintain attendance records and report progress to the head of department.
- Participate in weekly faculty meetings to discuss student performance and teaching strategies.
- Mentor younger teachers and support classroom management initiatives.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Design and implement unit plans aligned with the state syllabus.
- Coordinate with the school to organize literary events, debates, and exhibitions.
- Update parents on student progress through periodic reports.
- Engage in professional development workshops and training sessions.
- Contribute to the development of teaching materials and reference books.
Qualifications and Experience
B.Ed or D.El.Ed is required; post‑graduate degree preferred. Four years of teaching experience in a school setting is essential. TET or CTET certification is not mandatory but advantageous. Candidates should be comfortable with curriculum delivery and student assessment.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from Rs.25,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
