PRT Dance Teacher Role at Vidya Laxmi English Medium School in Brahmavara
Teaching dance classes to students from Class I to VIII in a structured yet creative environment is the daily responsibility of this PRT Dance Teacher position. The role involves guiding young learners through fundamental dance techniques, cultural forms, and expressive movements while ensuring they develop confidence and coordination.
This role focuses on delivering engaging dance lessons that align with school curriculum standards. You will design age-appropriate lesson plans covering classical, folk, and contemporary styles, ensuring each session blends learning with fun. Classroom management is key—you’ll organize activities, monitor participation, and maintain a safe and inclusive space for all students.
Assessment will be practical, focusing on students’ ability to perform, improvise, and apply dance skills. You’ll conduct short evaluations during lessons and occasional performances to gauge progress. Planning involves preparing weekly schedules, selecting appropriate music, and adapting lessons based on student feedback and skill levels.
To qualify, a graduate degree with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in dance or related fields is required. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, though prior dance training or certification is beneficial. Experience in teaching children or working with diverse groups is highly valued.
