Job Description for Trained Graduate Teacher (Hindi)

Role Summary

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hindi or Hindi Literature with a minimum of 50% marks
- Postgraduate degree in Hindi or Hindi Literature with a minimum of 50% marks
- One year of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level
- Proficiency in spoken and written Hindi and English
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and interactive platforms

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or equivalent teacher training certification
- Master’s degree in Education with Hindi as a specialization
- Two years of teaching experience in a CBSE or state board school
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment design
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction
- Valid Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certification (though not mandatory, preferred)

Performance Expectations (Evaluation Criteria)

The teacher will be evaluated on the following parameters through bi-annual appraisals and student learning outcomes:

- Ability to engage learners using varied pedagogical approaches
- Use of digital tools and interactive methods to enhance comprehension
- Alignment of lessons with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes

2. Classroom Management (20%)

- Regular and formative assessment of student progress
- Timely and constructive feedback to students and parents

Salary and Compensation (Annual Breakdown)

Basic Salary: INR 420,000
House Rent Allowance (HRA): INR 126,000 (30% of basic, subject to actual rent submission)
Special Allowance: INR 30,000
Performance Incentive: Up to INR 40,000 (based on annual appraisal)
Leave Encashment: Up to INR 25,000 (subject to service conditions)
Professional Development Grant: INR 15,000 per annum (for approved courses)
Gratuity: As per Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972 (after 5 years of continuous service)
Provident Fund (PF): 12% of Basic + DA (employer and employee contribution)

Leave Policy:
- 12 days of casual leave per year
- 10 days of medical leave per year (with medical certificate)

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Implementation
- Teach Hindi as per the prescribed syllabus and lesson plans
- Develop supplementary teaching materials including worksheets, audio-visual aids, and digital content
- Integrate language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) in every lesson
- Prepare learners for state and national-level language competitions

2. Assessment and Reporting
- Conduct monthly unit tests, term examinations, and mock assessments
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks, and progress reports
- Provide detailed quarterly progress reports to parents and the academic coordinator
- Prepare students for Hindi Olympiads and other competitive platforms

3. Classroom Management and Student Welfare
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Identify and support learners with learning difficulties or special needs
- Organize co-curricular activities such as Hindi Diwas celebrations, debates, and cultural programs
- Promote cultural and literary appreciation through storytelling, poetry recitation, and essay writing

4. Professional and Institutional Responsibilities
- Attend all staff meetings, training sessions, and parent-teacher conferences
- Participate in school events, examinations, and extracurricular activities as assigned
- Collaborate with subject teachers to integrate interdisciplinary learning
- Uphold the school’s mission of academic excellence and character building

5. Compliance and Safety
- Ensure compliance with the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012
- Follow the school’s safeguarding policy and report any concerns immediately
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and assessment data
