ACCOUNTANT Job in Datata, Madhya Pradesh | School Vacancy
Rani Laxmibai Public School in Datia is looking for a diligent ACCOUNTANT to manage its financial operations. The role offers a chance to work in a vibrant school environment while ensuring accurate accounting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including ledger entries, cash receipts, and disbursements.
2. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and submit them to senior management.
3. Reconcile bank statements, monitor cash flow and ensure timely payments to vendors and service providers.
4. Process payroll for school staff, verify attendance records and handle statutory deductions.
5. Manage inventory of school assets, track depreciation and coordinate asset audits.
6. Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, PF and other statutory regulations and file returns within prescribed timelines.
7. Assist in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support school’s strategic planning.
8. Liaise with external auditors, banks and government agencies as required.
9. Provide financial reports and insights to the school principal and governing body for decision‑making.
10. Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard school funds.
Qualifications
A post‑graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance is essential, with at least two years of relevant experience in school or similar institutional accounting. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel is required, along with a solid understanding of Indian tax laws and compliance norms.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from Rs.19,000 to Rs.40,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
