Job Description
Teaching Sanskrit at Rani Laxmibai Public School in Datia
Teaching Sanskrit at Rani Laxmibai Public School involves shaping young minds with the rich heritage of classical Indian literature, grammar, and culture. The role focuses on delivering engaging lessons in Vedic texts, classical poetry, and linguistic fundamentals to students across different grades. Your daily work includes designing curriculum-aligned lessons that blend tradition with modern teaching methods to keep students interested.
The scope of this position covers all aspects of Sanskrit education, from basic pronunciation and script to advanced Vedic mantras and philosophical texts. You will teach students the nuances of Sanskrit grammar, such as kshudra and mahapurusa verses, while also introducing them to key authors like Kalidasa and Tulsidas. Lessons will incorporate storytelling, chanting, and interactive exercises to reinforce learning.
Core academic duties include preparing lesson plans that align with the school’s syllabus while ensuring depth in Vedic studies. You will guide students through the study of Shlokas, Upanishads, and Puranas, helping them develop fluency in the language. Collaboration with the school’s Sanskrit coordinator will ensure consistency in teaching methods and assessment standards.
Assessment and planning are integral to this role. You will evaluate students’ understanding through quizzes, oral recitations, and written assignments to track progress. Adjusting lesson pacing and difficulty based on student responses ensures effective learning outcomes. The school values structured yet flexible teaching, so you’ll also refine lesson plans based on student feedback and academic performance trends.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in Sanskrit or related subjects, is required. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, prior experience with state-level teaching assessments would be beneficial.
This full-time position offers a monthly salary of Rs. 23,000 to Rs. 50,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Located in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, the role provides a supportive environment to nurture students’ appreciation for Sanskrit while contributing to the school’s academic excellence.
