JOB TITLE: PRT Art and Craft Teacher
REPORTING TO: The Head of School/Rural School
JOB SUMMARY:
The Primary Rural Teacher (PRT) Art and Craft Teacher is a crucial member of the teaching staff at our rural school, responsible for delivering high-quality Art and Craft education to students in grades 1 to 5. The successful candidate will be expected to create an engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that fosters creativity, self-expression, and academic achievement.
STUDENT PROFILE:
The PRT Art and Craft Teacher will work with students aged 5-10 years, with varying abilities and learning styles. The teacher will be responsible for designing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of the students, promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development.
SUCCESS METRICS:
The PRT Art and Craft Teacher's performance will be evaluated based on the following metrics:
- Student participation and engagement in Art and Craft activities
- Quality of student work and products
- Student progress and achievement in Art and Craft skills
- Teacher's ability to design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
To be eligible for this position, the candidate must meet the following minimum and preferred criteria:
Minimum:
- Graduate degree in a relevant field (B.Ed., B.A., B.F.A.)
- 1 year of teaching experience in a similar setting
- Good understanding of Art and Craft curriculum and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Post-graduate degree in a relevant field
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Knowledge of technology integration in Art and Craft education
- Familiarity with rural school settings and community engagement
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
The PRT Art and Craft Teacher is expected to:
- Design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes creativity and self-expression
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
- Engage in ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices and stay updated with curriculum changes
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and events that promote Art and Craft education
SALARY AND COMPENSATION:
The PRT Art and Craft Teacher will receive a salary of Rs. 30,000 per month, paid in 12 installments. In addition to the salary, the teacher will receive:
- Annual increment of 10%
- Performance-based bonuses
- Medical insurance coverage for the teacher and family members
- Paid leave and holidays as per government regulations
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The PRT Art and Craft Teacher will work in a rural school setting, with a student population of 200. The school has a dedicated Art and Craft room with necessary equipment and resources.
