About This Role
The PRT Computer Science Teacher will handle foundational Computer Science lessons for classes 1 to 5 at Sjs Public School Panna. Support classroom discipline and maintain regular parent communication about student progress.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver age-appropriate Computer Science lessons using worksheets and digital games.
2. Conduct interactive demonstrations on hardware parts like keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
3. Guide students through simple drag-and-drop coding activities on beginner platforms.
4. Organize monthly “Tech Time” sessions where students showcase small projects.
5. Monitor lab usage and ensure all systems are child-safe and functional.
6. Prepare weekly worksheets on topics like parts of a computer, basic commands, and online safety.
7. Assist in organizing school-wide events like coding fests or digital awareness drives.
8. Maintain attendance and submit weekly progress notes to the primary coordinator.
9. Attend staff meetings and share feedback on student engagement in tech activities.
Required Qualifications
Must Have
Graduate in Computer Science, BCA, or related field from a recognized university
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary classes
Familiarity with basic classroom management for grades 1 to 5
Willingness to integrate technology into everyday learning activities
Basic knowledge of Hindi and English for classroom instruction
Good to Have
D.El.Ed or B.Ed degree
Prior experience in a PRT Computer Science Teacher Vacancy in Panna
Basic understanding of Scratch, Tux Paint, or similar child-friendly software
Exposure to local Panna school curriculum expectations
Experience working in Madhya Pradesh schools
