- Process tuition fee receipts, staff salaries, vendor payments and other school expenditures.
- Generate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for school management.
- Monitor budget allocations, track variances and suggest corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations such as GST, PF and tax filings.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audit processes.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
- Assist the principal and administrative team with financial planning and reporting.
Qualification
Must Have
- Graduate degree in commerce, finance or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an educational or service environment.
Good to Have
- Professional certification such as CA, CMA or ACCA.
- Familiarity with school fee structures and government education grants.
Skills
- Strong command of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks or similar).
- Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial work.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Good communication skills for interacting with staff, parents and vendors.
