Core Duties:
Teaching and mentoring students in Business Studies at the senior secondary level, covering core subjects like accounting, economics, and management principles. Developing and implementing innovative lesson plans that engage students with case studies, projects, and practical workshops. Assisting in organizing school events such as business simulations, career expos, and guest lectures by industry experts. Collaborating with the school’s co-curricular activities team to integrate business-related extracurricular programs, like model UN or entrepreneurship clubs. Ensuring alignment with state board syllabi while incorporating modern teaching techniques to enhance student comprehension.
Qualifications for the PGT Business Studies Teacher include a postgraduate degree in Business Studies, Commerce, or a related field. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory for teaching roles at this level. While not mandatory, holding a TET/CTET certificate will be an advantage. Two years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school environment, is required to demonstrate expertise in managing diverse student needs.
