PGT English Teacher Job in Amravati, Maharastra | School Recruitment
Role Summary
Titan Public School uses smart boards in every classroom, Google Classroom for daily assignments, and an LMS that tracks reading progress. As the PGT English Teacher you will plan lessons for Classes 9-12, align them to the Maharashtra State Board syllabus, and integrate digital resources to keep students engaged in Amravati’s competitive academic environment. The role is full-time and requires a minimum of three years of senior-secondary English teaching experience.
How You Will Teach
Lessons will be delivered with the help of smart boards for grammar drills, Google Classroom for instant feedback on writing assignments, and the school’s LMS for blended learning modules. You will create flipped-classroom videos on literary devices and share them with students before each unit. Regular use of online quizzes and discussion forums will reinforce classroom learning and prepare students for board exams.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare unit-wise lesson plans in digital format for Classes 9-12, ensuring coverage of prose, poetry, grammar, and writing skills.
Upload daily worksheets and reading lists to Google Classroom and send reminders to students and parents.
Conduct live doubt-clearing sessions on Microsoft Teams twice a week for students who need extra help.
Grade assignments and projects on the LMS and provide detailed feedback within 48 hours.
Organize virtual book clubs and author talks using Zoom to build reading culture beyond textbooks.
Maintain digital attendance registers and generate progress reports through the school ERP.
Collaborate with the ICT team to troubleshoot any issues with smart boards or online platforms.
Attend weekly subject meetings with the English department to share best practices and align assessments.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a graduate degree in English with B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Prior experience teaching English at the senior-secondary level in Maharashtra is essential. TET or CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
