Responsibilities
Teach English as a primary subject to students in Class I to V, focusing on foundational grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills. Conduct interactive classes, storytelling sessions, and group discussions to enhance language proficiency and cultural awareness.
Prepare and assess student work regularly to track progress and provide constructive feedback. Organize extracurricular activities like poetry recitals, debate clubs, or drama workshops to foster creativity and public speaking skills. Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and builds confidence among young learners.
Collaborate with the principal and other teachers to implement school policies and support academic growth. Participate in teacher training sessions and workshops to stay updated on teaching methodologies and educational trends. Ensure proper maintenance of teaching resources and classroom infrastructure to create an effective learning space.
Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) degree from a recognized university. Possess a graduate degree in any discipline with a focus on English language skills. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this PRT English Teacher position.
Experience
Three years of teaching experience in an English medium school or similar educational setting is required. Familiarity with CBSE or state board curriculum guidelines is advantageous. Experience working with young learners and adapting teaching strategies for Class I to V students is a plus.
Salary and Employment Type
