Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily physical education sessions tailored to various student levels, ensuring activities are safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate. Monitor student participation, provide constructive feedback, and address any concerns related to physical activity or sports injuries. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into interdisciplinary projects or events. Maintain organized records of student progress in sports skills and participation metrics.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Design and implement term-long sports programs that cater to different skill levels, including team sports, individual disciplines, and fitness training. Work closely with the school’s sports committee to organize inter-house competitions, tournaments, and extracurricular events. Ensure compliance with school policies on sports safety, equipment handling, and emergency procedures. Participate in staff meetings and workshops to stay updated on best practices in physical education and sports pedagogy.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and update lesson plans, training manuals, and assessment tools to evaluate students’ progress in physical fitness and sports skills. Conduct periodic evaluations of student performance, providing detailed feedback to both students and parents. Represent the school at local sports events, competitions, or training sessions to showcase student achievements and promote school pride.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a focus on Physical Education. Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting. Familiarity with TET/CTET guidelines is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of sports science, injury prevention, and adaptive physical education practices is a plus.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.45,000 to Rs.70,000 per month, along with opportunities for professional growth within the institution.
