Job Description
Euro School in Mumbai City is looking for an enthusiastic NTT Evs Teacher to bring engaging environmental education to its students. This role focuses on shaping young minds through hands-on learning in Eco-Village (EVs) programs, aligning with Euro School’s commitment to sustainability and holistic growth.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver interactive EVS lessons that blend theory with practical activities, ensuring age-appropriate content for students. Develop curriculum-based projects like garden maintenance, waste management, and energy conservation, often in collaboration with Euro School’s EVS coordinators. Conduct field trips to local eco-parks, farms, or recycling centers to reinforce classroom learning, keeping students actively involved in real-world environmental challenges.
Teach students about biodiversity, climate change, and conservation efforts while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Prepare engaging visual aids, experiments, and storytelling sessions to make EVS lessons memorable and impactful. Monitor student participation and progress, offering constructive feedback to ensure they grasp key concepts effectively.
Collaborate with Euro School’s teachers and staff to integrate EVS themes into other subjects, such as science or social studies, to create a cohesive learning experience. Stay updated on environmental policies, research, and best practices to ensure lessons remain relevant and innovative. Assist in organizing EVS-related events like cleanliness drives, tree-planting campaigns, or awareness workshops for parents and community members.
Qualification
A graduate degree with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory for this position. A valid Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role. Strong communication skills in English and Marathi are essential to effectively engage students and parents.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on environmental education or similar subjects. Experience in designing and implementing EVS programs, especially in Mumbai City’s diverse educational environment, would be highly beneficial. Familiarity with local environmental issues and resources is a plus.
